It looks like the Trisha-Mansoor Ali Khan episode has come to an end after a week-long storm. After refusing to tender apology, Mansoor has finally relented and apologized to Trisha for his sexist and misogynistic comments on the star heroine.
And Trisha seems to have forgiven Mansoor following his apology. She took to her social media pages this afternoon and wrote, “To err is human,to forgive is divine (sic),” ending the murky battle on a graceful note. However, Trisha’s kind gesture has been getting a mixed response from netizens, as many feel that the actress shouldn’t have forgiven Mansoor and let the law handle the issue.
Mansoor Ali Khan has been receiving immense backlash for his insensitive and derogatory comments on Trisha in a recent video interview in which he said that he was disappointed for not getting a chance to do a rape scene with Trisha in Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo.
After Trisha blasted Mansoor for his vulgar comments, several film industry colleagues and thousands of fans took to social media and expressed their solidarity. The National Council for Women (NCW) has taken a suo moto in this matter and directed the Tamil Nadu government to arrest Mansoor Ali Khan.
To err is human,to forgive is divine🙏🏻
