This Friday is going to be a feast for OTT audiences, as the recent Malayalam blockbusters Vaazha 2 and Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam are set to make their digital debut. Vaazha 2 will arrive on Jio Hotstar, while Netflix acquired the digital rights of Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam.
Vaazha 2, the sequel to Vaazha, is the new industry hit of Kerala with over Rs. 125 crores gross. The film starring Hashir H, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V in the lead roles is directed by debutant Savin SA. It is jointly produced by Imagin Cinemas, WBTS Productions, Shine Screens, Signature Studios, and Icon Studios.
Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam, the sequel to the 2024 film Bharathanatyam, is a commercial blockbuster, collecting over Rs. 40 crores gross. The movie stars Saiju Kurup, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagadish, and Vinay Forrt in the lead roles. Directed by Krishnadas Murali, it is produced by Thomas Thiruvalla Films in association with Saiju Kurup Entertainments. Both Vaazha 2 and Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam will stream in multiple languages from May 8.
