Actor Prabhas has joined forces with KGF helmer Prashanth Neel for a massive action drama titled Salaar. Until recently, there were reports that this high budget entertainer will be released in two parts. However, much to the disappointment of the actor’s fans, there were reports a couple of days ago that Salaar will only release as a standalone movie and not as a 2-part franchise.
But, if the latest buzz is anything to go by, Salaar will indeed release as a two-part franchise. But there’s more to the story. While the first part will be hitting the big screens on September 28, the second part will enter its production phase only after Prashanth Neel wraps up his project with NTR. Yet another update is that a major portion of the film’s shooting will be wrapped up by February end, while a minor patchwork will be done in March.
Jagapathi Babu, Prithviraj and Shruti Haasan will be seen essaying crucial roles in this pan-India biggie. KGF and Kanthara producer Vijay Kirgandur is bankrolling the project. Ravi Basrur, the talented composer who set the silver screens ablaze with his electrifying soundtrack for KGF, is composing the music. Stay tuned for further updates.
