The audio of Prakash Raj’s upcoming film Ulavacharu Biriyani was a grand affair with several stalwarts from Telugu film industry gracing the event. The highlight of the event was honouring music maestro Ilayaraja in the presence of hundreds of his admirers. D Ramanaidu, K Raghavendra Rao, M M Keeravani, Mani Sharma, K S Rama Rao were some of the guests who graced the event.

Talking about his experience of working with Ilayaraja, Prakash Raj said, “It’s an honour that Ilayaraja agreed to work with him. I believe his blessings are always with me and it motivated me to work harder. I’m really enjoying my new innings as a director. Ulavacharu Biriyani is my third film as a director and I think I am getting out of my comfort zone with each film. This process of unlearning some things and getting to spend more time with family is working wonders for me.”

Ilayaraja was surprised that K S Rama Rao and Prakash Raj had organised a big event to honour him and said, “I wouldn’t have come here had I known what they had planned. On a serious note, I have always tried to compose original music. A song which sounds like another song is not a song at all. It’s okay to take inspiration from something; however, copying is not my cup of tea, although a lot of directors approach music directors to compose songs which sound like some of the popular songs.”

Ulavacharu Biriyani stars Prakash Raj, Sneha, Tejas and Samyukta Hornad in lead roles. Prakash Raj has directed the film and K S Rama Rao has produced it. Ilayaraja has scored the music and it is going to release in May.
