Upcoming crime thriller locks a lengthy runtime

After a fine start to the year, Bollywood action superstar Akshay Kumar is now coming up with Haiwaan, a crime thriller directed by Priyadarshan. The movie also stars Saif Ali Khan in another key role.

The film has wrapped up its censor formalities with a U/A certificate and an approved runtime of 164 minutes (2 hours and 44 minutes). For a thriller, the duration is definitely long, and it remains to be seen how the screenplay will be.

The buzz has been unfortunately too low for the film, with trade expecting a single-digit opening. As of now, Haiwaan relies on word-of-mouth to leave an impact at the box office. The advance bookings have started to open.
