Kannada superstar Upendra is once again gearing up to greet his Telugu fans with Upendra 2, a sequel to his 1999 superhit, Upendra. The film will be releasing on 14th August, along with its Kannada version titled Uppi 2. Senior producer Nallamalupu Srinivas is the Telugu version’s producer. The film’s audio will be launched this evening in Hyderabad.
Known for the unusual storylines and his typical appearances in his films, Upendra has a solid fan base even in the Telugu states. His latest appearance in a Telugu film was in a villainous role in Allu Arjun’s S/O Satyamurthy. Upendra’s presence in the film helped S/O Satyamurthy garner record collections in Karnataka.
Apart from acting in the film, Upendra also wrote and directed Upendra 2.
