From Upendra and Kichcha Sudeepa to Rishab Shetty, prominent Kannada cinema voices have come out in praise of Yash and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, highlighting its unconventional storytelling, scale and performances.

The reactions centre on Yash’s decision to take a different route after KGF: Chapter 2. Rather than return with another larger-than-life commercial role, he has chosen a darker, more layered character in a world created with director Geetu Mohandas.

Sudeepa praised Yash for stepping away from the predictable formula, while Rishab Shetty applauded his conviction and commitment to the character. Upendra called Toxic a completely new experience and praised the work of the entire team.

The appreciation extends beyond them, with Rakshita Prem praising Yash’s growth as an actor, Sanvi Sudeep highlighting his performance, and Ashika Rangnath and Vijay Prakash pointing to the film’s exploration of guilt, trauma and human emotions.

The support comes as Toxic continues to generate strong discussion and criticism. The article also points to its reported Rs. 112 crore net collection in the Hindi market in four days, indicating its reach beyond Karnataka.
