Gangster action drama Vada Chennai (North Chennai), headlined by Dhanush, earned cult classic status among the audience. The film, directed by Vetrimaaran, was a big hit at the box office. There has been growing demand for a Vada Chennai’s sequel. Recently, Vetrimaaran stated that the second installment will be happening soon.
According to a report in DT, Next, Simbu, a.k.a Silambarasan, might feature in Vada Chennai 2. The report mentioned, “The big news is that Vetrimaaran will immediately start a film (STR 49) that will have STR in the lead role. It is a north Chennai-based gangster story which will go on floors either in June or July.”
It was further said that the makers have also acquired the title of Vada Chennai from Dhanush, hinting at a possibility that Simbu might star in the much-awaited sequel. Will Vada Chennai be a multistarrer with Dhanush and Simbu, or is this a mere speculation? Let’s wait and watch.
