Thalapathy Vijay is coming up with a family entertainer, Varisu, for the coming Pongal season. The movie is directed by Vamsi Paidipally of Brindhavanam and Oopiri fame and has some solid hype around it. The first single, Ranjithame, was released recently.

Star actress Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady, and Dil Raju produces the film under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, and Khushbu play pivotal roles. The film will be dubbed and released in Telugu as Vaarasudu. Also, the second single announcement is expected to drop anytime soon.
