Tamil director Venkat Prabhu recently directed The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT) with Thalapathy Vijay. While the film entertained Vijay’s fans, it didn’t quite meet the expectations of others, who were hoping for something more engaging.
In a recent interview, Venkat Prabhu revealed that he originally envisioned The GOAT with Superstar Rajinikanth. He shared that he narrated a different version of the story to Rajinikanth, who liked it. However, Venkat clarified that he didn’t present the dual role concept at that time. He had Dhanush in mind for the role of the son.
Ultimately, the project didn’t materialise with Rajinikanth, and Vijay came on board with another version of the story featuring the dual role. The movie went on to earn around Rs. 450 crore globally. Stay tuned for more exciting entertainment updates.
