Tollywood star Venkatesh made a striking digital debut with the Netflix crime drama series, Rana Naidu, in March. Also starring Venky’s nephew Rana Daggubati in a lead role, Rana Naidu became a hot topic on the internet for various reasons and trended nationally for a long time on the streaming giant.

And Rana Naidu has pulled off a massive global feat now. This popular original series has become the only Indian Netflix show among the top 400 titles globally. Rana Naidu has secured 336th position off the 400 titles on Netflix for the time period between January to June this year. According to Netflix’s ‘What We Watched’ engagement report, Rana Naidu logged a total of 463 million viewing hours.

Rana Naidu is a 10-episode series directed by Suparn Verma and Karan Anshuman. The series focuses on the dysfunctional relationship between a Bollywood fixer played by Rana Daggubati, and his out-of-jail father played by Venkatesh. The show and Venky’s character were a major surprise for his fans.
