Star actor Dhanush’s recent outing Sir/Vaathi has been receiving humongous responses from the critics and audiences. Released last Friday, the movie is directed by Venky Atluri. Samyuktha played the female protagonist in the bilingual social drama.

Veteran director and actor Bharathi Raja played a cameo in this movie. Recently, the senior director described the film as a special one and stressed its importance in promoting education.

“In my film career, I’ve seen a lot of milestones. Few things have stunned me. One such is Vaathi (Sir in Telugu). I’m watching a lot of films, this is a special one as I’m part of it. Films should be useful to people, more than entertainment. Sir/Vaathi is one such film. Sir stresses the importance of education,” Bharathi Raja said in the statement. Bharathi Raja went on to praise Dhanush for his responsible vision.

He also spoke highly of Samuthirakani and Samyuktha, who played vital roles in Vaathi. “GV Prakash has scored music for Vaathi, he’s a blessing. He scored some great music this year. I’m sure he’ll bag a national award this year. Sir is a great title, the film talks about the social responsibility of a teacher,” Bharathi Raja noted. He also urged the public to watch the movie in theaters.
