Vijay Devarakonda’s Ranabaali is slated to hit the big screens this Friday. The movie, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The pre-release event was held at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad.
At the event, Vijay Devarakonda said, “I thank my directors for attending the event. The festival atmosphere has started. Ranabaali will make Telugu film industry proud. Rahul wanted to make a mass period action drama and did a lot of research before writing Ranabaali. That’s when he got to know about an unknown chapter in history.”
He added, “Doing a normal historical film wouldn’t have given this level of impact. Rahul found a solid purpose for his film that he wanted to make on a huge canvas. During Taxiwaala release, I faced criticism because of NOTA failure. That time, I wrote a letter stating that I will be back, knowing people are enjoying my failure.”
Vijay continued, “I reminded my naysayers that I will be bloody back when I say it. I’m sure Rahul is building such base once again for me. If things go well, I will once again remind my haters about it in Anantapur. Confidence in ourselves and dedication to work are the only things in our hands.”
“I thank my producers Naveen garu and Ravi garu. Mythri played a key role in pushing the limits of Telugu cinema. I have been blessed with magical songs in my career. Ajay-Atul gave me one such song in Ranabaali in the form of Endhayya Saami. I’m proud of Rashmika for her growth as an actor. Working with her feels home,” concluded Vijay Devarakonda.
