Released in November last year, Vijay Deverakonda and Priyanka Jawalkar’s Taxiwaala went on to be a huge hit. directed by debutant Rahul, the film was produced by SKN and presented under GA2 banner.
Now, Taxiwaala is being remade in Hindi with happening young stars Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey playing the main leads. The Hindi version is titled Khaali Peeli and it’s being directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by popular Bollywood director Ali Abbas Zafar and Zee Studios. The film is slated to hit screens on June 12, 2020.
