Acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi has shown has generosity once again and this time, his latest gesture has won hearts in the farmer community in Tamil Nadu. The actor has been an ardent supporter of farmers rights and has spoken about their issues at public meetings in the past.
It turns out that he wanted to something big for the farmers and when he got the opportunity to do so, he went out of his way to show how serious he is about doing his part for the farmers. For one of the scenes in his upcoming film, Laabham, in which he plays a social activist fighting for farmers issues, the team wanted to erect a set for farmers union. However, Vijay is said to have insisted on constructing a real building and after completing the shoot, he donated the building to the farmers in the region where the film was shot. The farmers community was touched by his gesture and their praised him for walking the talk.
Laabham also stars Shruti Haasan in a lead role, and it’s going to be her first Tamil film in a long time. Jagapathi Babu will also be seen in an important role. Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is awaiting the release of his next film, Sanga Tamizhan which is likely to release in November.
