Veteran actress Vijayashanti took a fourteen-year-long break from films before making a comeback with ‘Super Star’ Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru. While the action comedy was a commercial success, it didn’t provide any boast to her already-established film career. And since then, she hasn’t signed any new projects to date.
Today, a surprising announcement has been made that makes it official that Vijayashanti will play a powerful role in Kalyan Ram’s next project. Tentatively titled #NKR21, it is bankrolled by the actor’s own ‘Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao Arts’.
The announcement video made it clear that this would be a high-octane action drama. Pradeep Chilkuri has been announced as the film’s director, while B. Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara (2022) and Virupaksha (2023) fame has been roped in to compose the background score and songs.
