30 years Prudhvi’s comments during Laila’s pre-release event didn’t sit well with the followers of a political party who started the ‘Boycott Laila’ trend on social media. In response, Vishwak Sen and producer Sahu Garipati held a press meet and expressed their apologies. Vishwak Sen stated that a film shouldn’t be targeted because of a person’s mistake.
Today, Vishwak Sen posted an Instagram story that landed him in another controversy. Vishwak posted his picture and added the caption, “I don’t give a F***.” The political party followers assumed that the actor was taking a dig at them and once again started trolling Laila. Soon Vishwak Sen took to social media and issued clarification.
He wrote, “I can’t keep thinking twice before every poster or post I put about my film. Language on social media will take none of us nowhere. Prathisari thagganu, ninna manaspoorthiga, I felt bad for people who got hurt and apologised. Stop overthinking and start maintaining peace. Nenu natudni matrame, nannu na cinemani rajakeeyalloki laagakandi. (Don’t drag me into politics).”
