Suriya is enjoying a happy phase in his life. The star has delivered back-to-back successes this year with Karuppu and Vishwanath & Sons. Adding to the celebrations, Suriya and his wife Jyothika have also completed 20 years together.
Now, Vishwanath & Sons has created a new record on OTT. The film, which started streaming on Netflix last Friday, has clocked 5.5 million views in just three days. It is currently at the No. 1 spot in India and three other countries, while also featuring in the Top 10 list across 14 countries.
The film is also making its presence felt globally. According to Netflix’s latest weekly data for September 7 to September 13, 2026, Vishwanath & Sons is currently trending at No. 3 globally in the Non-English Movies category.
The biggest highlight is its 5.5 million views in just three days. This makes Vishwanath & Sons the most-viewed Tamil film in its opening weekend on Netflix, marking another major milestone for the Suriya starrer.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles and is produced by Naga Vamsi. With the film continuing to perform strongly on Netflix, it remains to be seen how many more views Vishwanath & Sons adds by the end of its first week.
