Almost five years after the release of Vishwaroopam, Kamal Haasan is finally set to unveil the world of Vishwaroopam 2. Apart from playing the lead role, he has also written and directed it. Although the film got delayed for numerous reasons, Kamal Haasan states that it is still a very relevant film.
In a recent interview, Kamal Haasan said, “Vishwaroopam 2 was conceived as a standalone film. It is both a sequel and prequel at once. You will know why my character is so patriotic and how strong some of the other characters are. I am not worried that people might not relate to the film because of the long gap. In fact, this film will revive interest in the first film.”
The film also stars Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Sekhar Kapur, and it is slated for release on August 10.
