Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Vishwaroopam has officially joined the Sankranthi race at box office. Earlier, there was a big confusion over the film’s release date amidst rumours that the film’s Telugu version may not simulatenously along with the Tamil release. There was even a buzz that the film might release two weeks after the Tamil version’s release. Now, all those doubts over the film’s official date of release have been cleared.
Vishwaroopam is all set to hit the screens on January 11. Dasari Narayana Rao is going to distribue the film through Siri Media. In fact, at the film’s audio launch, Dasari had praised Kamal Haasan for taking a brave step to screen the film on DTH on January 10 and stated that he’ll his full support for Kamal Haasan. Vishwaroopam has been written and directed by Kamal Haasan and it also stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Rahul Bose and Sekhar Kapur. Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have composed the music. Incidentally, the film will now clash with other big releases – Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Nayak.
