High-budget spy action thriller War 2, headlined by Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan, failed to meet expectations and couldn’t achieve success at the box office. The film, part of the YRF Spy Universe, is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Kiara Advani played the female lead.
Though the theatrical reception was underwhelming, the movie is making waves on OTT with an extraordinary response. For the second consecutive week, it topped the digital charts as the most-watched film on OTT in India.
What’s more impressive is that War 2’s viewership grew sharply between October 13 and 19, recording 5.3 million views compared to 3.5 million the week before, as per a report by Ormax. War 2 is leading by over 3 million views compared to the second-best film on the list, Coolie, highlighting its strong OTT domination.
