Hero Mahesh Babu and director Sreenu Vaitla’s blockbuster action entertainer, Dookudu, completed 10 years yesterday. On this special occasion, Sreenu Vaitla, in a latest interview with Teravenuka Kathalu YouTube channel, revealed several interesting titbits on how the film materialized.
Sreenu Vaitla revealed that he and his writer Gopi Mohan had first prepared another script and even Mahesh okayed it. However, both Mahesh and Sreenu later felt that the script was not exciting enough. That’s when Sreenu Vaitla Dookudu’s story idea suc struck him like a flash.
And when Sreenu Vaitla narrated Dookudu’s story idea to Mahesh, “Fantastic..Superb..Mind-blowing..Unbelievable,” were the first words Mahesh uttered soon after the narration completed. Interestingly, Mahesh’s first reaction to Dookudu’s story turned into his dialogue in the film, where he himself says the same dialogue while praising MS Narayana’s performance in a film shooting.
