November is finally here and the excitement among Rajinikanth and Shankar’s fans on the most eagerly awaited sci-fi thriller 2.0, is intensifying with each passing day. The film is gearing up for a grand release on November 29.
2.0’s promotions have begun and Shankar is promoting the film through interviews. In his latest media interaction, Shankar revealed an exciting tidbit about the film’s antagonist.
It’s well known that Shankar had initially wanted to cast Arnold Schwarzenegger as the main antagonist in 2.0. After the makers couldn’t meet Arnold’s demands, both Shankar and Rajini had wanted Kamal Haasan to play the villain. But Kamal was more keen on Indian 2 and he declined the offer. That was when Shankar approached Bollywood star Akshay Kumar for the role.
Shankar further revealed that despite the film being VFX-loaded, it has a strong emotionally intriguing story. Shankar also suggested audiences to watch 2.0 in 3D to experience the film’s impact.
