The Kerala Story, spearheaded by Adah Sharma landed in a controversy even before its release. The makers claimed that the movie is based on real incidents as per which thousands of Kerala women have been forcefully converted to Islam. This controversy actually helped the movie earn huge bucks at the box office despite negative reviews. But OTT platforms didn’t come forward to buy this movie, which delayed its digital debut.
The movie made its digital premiere on ZEE5 recently, and the latest news is that it registered a whopping 300 million streaming minutes. This was achieved within two weeks of its digital release, which is sensational. The movie is currently available for streaming in multiple languages.
Directed by Sudipto Sen, the film also features Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Devadarshini, and Vijay Krishna in crucial roles. Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah of Sunshine Pictures, the movie’s music is composed by Vishakh Jyoti and Viresh Sreevalsa.
