It is common for state governments to allot tax-free screenings of films in theatres across the state. The AP government previously did this for Balakrishna’s Gautami Putra Sathakarni. This is usually done for films with historic prominence.
Now, there’s a talk that Prabhas’s Adipurush, a mythological action epic based on Ramayan should get a country-wide tax free implementation.
With tax-free policy, the ticket prices will come down greatly which will in turn encourage more audiences to watch the film and thus generate more revenue.
Being a film based on the Hindu mythological epic of Ramayan, will Adipurush get the tax-free benefit? We have to wait and see.
