Multiple reports claim that the makers of RRR are planning on holding paid premieres in the Telugu states on 24th March, ahead of the film’s scheduled release date – 25th March.
But the big question is – Will the government of Andhra Pradesh permit the same. The government had already imposed a strict 4-shows restriction in the state and hasn’t even permitted 5 shows per day yet, raising doubts on whether or not they will permit paid premieres
That said, the state government vowed to support big budget pan-India films like RRR. So, the possibility of AP government permitting RRR’s paid premieres can’t be ruled out. We have to wait and see how things pan out.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government is likely to permit the paid premieres proposal.
