Soon after the violent communal riots broke out in Northeastern Delhi, stalwart actor turned politician Rajinikanth strongly condemned the BJP-led government and said that the riots must be dealt with an “iron fist”. Rajini even demanded that the leaders in power just “resign and go” if they can’t control the riots. The clashes have resulted in 42 deaths and more than 200 victims with severe injuries.
And yesterday, Rajini met several Muslim leaders from the Tamil Nadu Jama’athul Uama Sabai outfit at his Poes Garden residence. He later took to Twitter and tweeted, saying, “I am willing to play any role to restore peace in the country. agree with the Muslim outfit leaders’ comment that a country’s prime objective should be love, unity and peace.”
