Yash Raj Films has reportedly turned down a staggering ₹215 crore OTT deal for its upcoming spy thriller Alpha, choosing a full-fledged theatrical release.
The film, headlined by Alia Bhatt, is slated to hit cinemas in April 2027 and marks a significant expansion of the YRF Spy Universe. Alpha is positioned as a female-led espionage drama, a fresh move in a franchise traditionally driven by male superstars.
By rejecting a lucrative digital offer, YRF has made it clear that the studio believes in the film’s big-screen potential. All eyes are now on this ambitious release by YRF.
