After scoring a big hit with Balagam, Venu Yeldandi has readied another powerful script titled Yellamma. The rural entertainer, set against the Telangana backdrop, was initially offered to Nani, but for undisclosed reasons, he didn’t give his approval.
The makers then approached Nithiin, and his involvement was even announced officially. However, the actor reportedly opted out, after which Sharwanand’s name surfaced as a potential replacement. Yellamma is once again back in the news as the latest buzz points to Bellamkonda Sreenivas playing the lead.
Perhaps, Yellamma seems to be one of those rare projects in recent times that has changed hands multiple times. It remains to be seen who will finally headline this much-talked-about film. Yellamma will be produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, and Keerthy Suresh is roped in as the female lead.
