It’s raining biopics in Tamil cinema, especially about the life of former CM Jayalalithaa. Already, AL Vijay has announced a biopic on her with Kangana Ranaut playing the lead role, and another film with Nithya Menen essaying the lead role is on the cards. Recently, Gautham Menon too shot a web series based on the life of Jayalalithaa with Ramya Krishna playing the lead role.
Now, yet another filmmaker, K Jagadeeshwar Reddy has announced a film, titled Sasi Lalitha, which will showcase the life of Jayalalithaa and the relationship she shared with her close aide, Sasikala. The makers have revealed a poster of the film and the teaser is expected to be revealed soon. The film is going to release in two parts.
Meanwhile, RGV too has announced that he’s making a film on Sasikala which will encompass the life of Jayalalithaa as well. More details are awaited.
