Youthful entertainers Mad and Mad Square are solid money spinners at the box office. Apart from the lead cast, Sangeeth Sobhan, Ram Nithin, and Narne Nithin, the movie also helped Vishnu Oi immensely. He played Laddu in the franchise, and in the second installment, the story revolves largely around him.
The character was initially offered to YouTuber Mouli Tanuj Prasanth, known for entertaining audiences through the web series #90’s. During the promotions of his first feature film Little Hearts, Mouli revealed this fact. It was stated that director Kalyan Shankar selected him for the role even without an audition.
“At that time, I decided to concentrate only on writing due to some bad experiences I had faced. I was firm about not taking up acting unless something extraordinary came my way that could boost my career. As I was in a different phase, I didn’t do that film,” stated the young actor. Mouli’s loss turned out to be Vishnu Oi’s gain, as the Laddu role struck a chord with the audience.
