The postponement saga continues for YRF’s upcoming spy film Alpha, and the movie will not arrive on April 17, 2026, as announced earlier. The movie, headlined by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, was initially supposed to hit the big screens on December 25, 2025, but the makers delayed the release due to VFX work.

Now the release has once again been pushed back from April 17, 2026, to make way for Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan. As soon as Aditya Chopra learnt that Salman’s Battle of Galwan was eyeing the same release window, he decided to let go of the said date, as the YRF head shares a great camaraderie with Salman Khan for a long time.

Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan is about Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment, who bravely led his troops during the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China. Apoorva Lakhia is the director, and Chitrangda Singh plays the female lead.

Salman Khan’s film will now enjoy a solo release on April 17. Trade and fans are optimistic that the Battle of Galwan will mark the comeback of the Bollywood Megastar. On the other hand, the new release date of Alpha will be announced after assessing the release calendar of the industry.
