Kannada star hero Real Star Upendra has joined the cast of the anticipated sequel, Zombie Reddy 2: Nxt Lvl. Starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, the project marks the Telugu directorial debut of filmmaker Suparn S. Varma. The filming is in full swing, with Upendra having already joined the active shooting schedule.
Marking Upendra’s birthday, the makers unveiled a striking first-look poster featuring the tagline, “Ready to Turn the World Upside Down”. True to the tagline, the star hangs inverted from a tree branch in a fierce, unrecognizable avatar with wild, flowing hair and a fur-trimmed warrior outfit. Gripping a menacing, carved tribal mace with a wild roar, he sets the tone for an unpredictable blend of madness, menace, and mass appeal.
Penned by Prasanth Varma, the horror-actioner features Shanaya Kapoor as the female lead. The venture is bankrolled on a lavish canvas by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner.
Supported by music composer Gowra Hari, cinematographer Abhinandan Ramanujam, and editor Vijay Velukutty, the film is aiming for a major 2027 theatrical release.
