Sree Vishnu and Catherine Tressa starrer Bhala Thandhanana is out now in theaters. Let’s see how the movie is.

Story:

Sashikala (Catherine) is a serious and sincere crime investigation reporter who exposed the dark side of many politicians. Chandu (Sree Vishnu) is an innocent guy, who works as an accountant in an orphanage. They become close because of an incident and Chandu helps Sashikala in finding the culprits behind the kidnap of the son of the most infamous criminal, Anand Bali (Ramachandra Raju), who deals with hawala money. One day, some people kidnap Chandu. What happens next? Why did they kidnap Chandu? Does he have any connection with the hawala money or Anand Bali? The questions will be answered in the main film.

Plus Points:

The story is somehow good because of its core point. Sree Vishnu has already proved his acting skills in many of earlier films. In this movie, he plays a character that has two different shades. He acts with so much ease and energy. Besides, Catherine Tressa also performs very well. She gets a good role after a long time and nails it.

Satya’s comedy is good and it’s a slight relief in the movie. Posani Krishna Murali’s performance is good in the second half. Finally, Ramachandra Raju (Garuda Ram) gets a full-length villain role in this Telugu movie. The rest of the artists justify their roles. The action part is decent and the production values are rich.

Minus Points:

When it comes to an action drama, the story should be engaging, twisty and moreover, the screenplay should be racy. That’s where exactly Bhala Thandhanana failed. Though Sree Vishnu delivers his best, it all goes in vain because of the movie’s slow narration and weak story. Garuda Ram should have been shown more powerful and the makers might have taken care of his appearance.

The biggest hurdle for the film, in addition to slow narration, is the songs, which fail to impress the viewers. The dialogues are also not up to the mark. Though the climax is a bit different, it is not established in a good manner. Bhala Thandhanana could have been a good action drama if the director focused much on the crisp narration.

Technical Aspects:

Chaitanya Danthuluri is one of the talented directors in the industry. Though the story has a good point to deal with, he fails to narrate it crisply. Manisharma’s music is unimpressive and so is the background score. The cinematography by Suresh Ragutu is fine. Marthand K Venkatesh’s editing should have been better.

Verdict:

On the whole, Bhala Thandhanana is a routine action drama with a different climax twist. Except for Sree Vishnu’s performance, there is nothing much to look out for in the film. Give Bhala Thandhanana a watch if you are a fan of action dramas.
