Music Review : DJ- Something for everyone
Published on Jun 12, 2017 5:00 pm IST

The complete audio of Allu Arjun’s DJ is finally out today. Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, let’s now see how this album turns out to be.

Song 1: DJ

Analysis: The album kick starts with the title song DJ which is a typical montage number composed to elevate the hero’s greatness. Even though the song is decent, it will hit on to you only after you listen to it multiple times. Vijay Prakash sings this crazy number which has a rock based feel to it. The lyrics by Jonnavittula nicely suit the mood of the song and this number will be an even bigger hit once you watch Allu Arjun in a stylish avatar.

Song 2: Badilo Vodilo

Analysis: The second song and probably the best song on the album is Badilo Vadilo which has already become a rage all over. The best part of the song is the melodious singing by Chitra who gives the song a vintage touch. Devi showcases his class as he nicely mixes the song with some nice western and Indian beats which make this song a chartbuster. The dance moves are already a hit and this is the best of the lot in the recent times.

Song 3: Mecchuko

Analysis: Moving on, the third song in the album is Mechuko, which is a fun teasing number. Devi goes old school for this number and brings in his typical mass beats. The hook-up line has been nicely interlaced in this song which has also been sung energetically by Nakkash Aziz. The lyrics are quite funny and the masses will just love this song with all the lungi steps which have gone viral already.

Song 4: Seeti Maar

Analysis: The fourth song in the album is Seeti Maar which is a peppy dance number which has especially been composed keeping Bunny’s dancing capability in mind. The orchestration is very upbeat and Jaspreet Jazz brings a very western touch to this song with his voice. You can expect some crazy dance moves as DSP has induced some well-balanced beats and makes this song a good fun number in the album.

Song 5: Box Baddalaipoye

Analysis: No Devi Sri Prasad album is complete without a mass number and same is the case with DJ too. DSP saves his singer brother Sagar for this mass number and brings in Geeta Madhuri who has become a pro in crooning these type of songs which are all instant hits. The hook-up line and massy beats make you dance right away and both visually and audio-wise, this song will be yet another classic in DSP’s all time mass hit numbers list.

Verdict:-

One can easily say that DJ is definitely not a better album than Allu Arjun’s previous audio Sarrainodu. Having said that, Devi Sri Prasad makes sure that he gives some hit songs which suit every situation in the film. There is something for everyone and DSP’s tracks will grow on you slowly. Badilo Vadilo, Box Baddalaipoye and Mecchuko are our picks and will be even bigger hits once the film releases.
