So, continuing the series of reviewing movies and shows during the lockdown period, our today’s pick is the second season of much-hyped Hindi/English web series Four More Shots Please. This series based in modern Mumbai and is directed by Anu Menon and Nupur Asthana.

 

What’s it about?

The second season starts off with the same four girls, Sayani Gupta(Damini), Bani J(Umang), Kriti Kulkarni(Anjana), and Maanvi Gangroo(Sidhi Patel) who faced relationship problems in season one. In this season, Sayani Gupta is looking for her book to be published, Bani J’s problems with a lady superstar get worsened, Kriti Kulkarni is looking for a partner post-divorce and lastly, Maanvi Gangroo is trying to live life on her terms. How do all these girls get themselves into new problems forms the crux of the second season?

 

What’s Good :

This web series is completely showcased as to what modern women want in their relationships with no strings attached. The emotional angle in each girl’s story has been showcased quite well. The performances by all the girls are top-notch especially Kriti Kulkarni is amazing as a divorcee who wants to break free. The chemistry between the girl gang is pretty good. The production values are really amazing with beautiful locations and nice costumes.

 

Final Word

Overall, the second season of Four More Shots Please showcases all the lead heroines getting in wrong relationships once again and slowly trying to come out of it. This show will mostly be liked by the urban audience who love bold themes. Finally, this web series has drama, romance, quality visuals, and can be happily watched for its unique theme and gripping narration.
