Tamil superstar Vijay’s Mersal is all set for a humongous release in close to 3,250 screens across the world tomorrow. Amid all the hype and hoopla around this Diwali biggie, there has been a huge deadlock over the film’s censor certificate due to the presence of the scenes involving bulls.
But in a major relief, the CBFC has finally cleared the film with a UA certificate this morning. Apparently, two scenes have been trimmed from the movie. Now that all decks are cleared for the film’s release, fans and trade circles are eagerly waiting for the fireworks Mersal is going to create.
Directed by Atlee, Mersal stars Kajal, Samantha and Nitya Menen as the female leads. The film is releasing in Telugu as Adirindhi on October 19.
