In a special honor, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) used Vijay’s photograph from his movie Velayudham in the Standard III textbooks to teach the students about the traditional Tamil attire during the Pongal festival. In the picture, Vijay is seen wearing a white shirt and a veshti (panche). Talk about popular culture influencing education!
Meanwhile, Vijay is all set to team up with star Tamil director AR Murugadoss for a high budgeted social drama. The superstar’s recently released action drama, Mersal, stormed the box-office by grossing over 250 crores worldwide.
