The stage is all set for the grand International Indian Film Academy (IIFA Awards). The 23rd edition of this mega movie carnival is scheduled to be held on the 26th and 27th of May at the Etihad Arena in the Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Hindi film stars Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal will be hosting the event this year.
In a curtain raiser press meet that was held earlier today in Abu Dhabi, the IIFA advisory board members along with the IIFA management, made a unanimous decision to present legendary actor-director Kamal Haasan with the ‘IIFA Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema’ for the year 2023. The award is being presented to Kamal Haasan for his relentless pursuit to push the boundaries of Tamil and Indian Cinema.
On the work front, Kamal Haasan will next be seen in Shankar’s Indian 2. The stalwart actor also has a handful of production ventures featuring several popular Tamil actors and directors.
