Allu Arjun’s ambitious theatre venture, Allu Cinemas, had its formal launch by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday, March 12. The city’s first Dolby Cinema and home to India’s largest Dolby Cinema screen is set to commence operations with Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

At the inauguration ceremony, Allu Arjun said, “Firstly, I would like to thank honorable Chief Minister Revanth Reddy garu for gracing the event and launching Allu Cinemas. I extend my gratitude to the Telangana government for supporting the film industry. We wanted to raise the bar of the entertainment industry with Allu Cinemas.”

He added, “For us, Allu Cinemas is a passion project, not a real estate venture. We wanted to give back something to the industry after taking so much from it. Allu Aravind is a legend who proved that Indian cinema can collect Rs. 100 crores in the home territory with Aamir Khan’s Ghajini. He is always a pioneer in technology, and not many know about it.”

“When stereo sound dominated the industry, he introduced Surround 5.1 with Master. My father is the key reason movies changed from film format to digital format. He is not just my father, but the father of the digital era in Telugu cinema. Aha is the first Telugu OTT platform. He always strives to integrate modern technology into cinema. I hope we all make him proud,” concluded Allu Arjun.
