Annapurna Studios is backing a small-budget film called Pallaburusu, set against a rural backdrop. The film, touted to be a quirky entertainer, revolves around a toothbrush, as the title suggests. An old man (a farmer) keeps asking his son to buy him a toothbrush as he can no longer bear the pain of brushing his teeth with a neem twig.
The makers unveiled the first look and title glimpse today to commence the promotions. Sudhakar Reddy and Muralidhar Goud play the lead roles, while Prajwal Yadma and Gomathy will be seen in key roles.
The first-look poster features the two lead actors seated back-to-back on a giant toothbrush resembling a balancing scale outside a district courtroom. The poster instantly creates intrigue.
Pallaburusu will hit the big screens on August 14, 2026, during the Independence Day weekend. Uday Chauhan is the writer and director. Aditya Pittie and Vivek Krishnani are co-producing the movie under Epic Studios. Pawan CH is composing the tunes.
