Bollywood veteran Zarina Wahab is set to play a deeply emotional character in Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film Slum Dog – 33 Temple Road. On the occasion of Puri’s birthday, the makers unveiled a glimpse introducing her character Zubeidaa, and the video offers a moving look at her painful journey.
Zubeidaa speaks about how hunger pushed her into begging, and Zarina Wahab brings the character’s pain to life with a powerful performance. The visuals are heart-wrenching, while Harshavardhan Rameshwar’s score further elevates the emotion and makes the glimpse even more impactful.
The makers have announced that Slum Dog – 33 Temple Road will have a pan-Indian release soon. Produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla, the film also features Samyuktha, Tabu, Duniya Vijay, Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh in important roles.
