Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is currently busy with multiple projects. One amongst them is Maidaan, an intense sports drama under the direction of Amit Sharma.
Now, the latest update is that Maidaan’s fourth schedule has begun today at a studio in Mumbai. Maidaan also stars Priyamani as the female lead. Being bankrolled by Boney Kapoor, Maidaan is a film based on the life story of legendary Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The film is aiming for an October 15, 2021 release.
Check, an intense and thrilling courtroom drama featuring Nithiin, Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Prakash Varrier in lead roles, is gearing up for release on February 26. Chandrasekhar Yeleti, popular for his acclaimed thrillers Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju, has directed the movie.
In a latest interview while promoting the film, the director revealed that Check is a semi-biographical film inspired by real incidents. He went on to say that he penned Check’s script based on the story of an American prisoner who played chess during his jail term. Check’s trailer showcased Nithin as a convicted criminal who is also a maverick chess player. Fans will have to wait for a couple of weeks to know the real story.
Noted producer Anand Prasad has bankrolled Check under his Bhavya Creations banner.
Hyderabadi Bollywood actress Dia Mirza is all set to tie the knot with Mumbai-based businessman and investor Vaibhav Rekhi tomorrow (February 15). The wedding will be an intimate affair and only close friends and family members will be gracing the occasion.
Dia earlier married her long-time business partner Sahil Sangha. However, the couple announced separation in 2019. Rumours of Dia living in with Vaibhav during the lockdown went viral last year. Vaibhav too was previously married to celebrity yoga instructor Sunaina Rekhi and has a daughter from his first marriage.
Dia Mirza, a former model and Miss Asia Pacific 2000 title winner, made her Bollywood debut with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein in 2001. She acted in several big budget Hindi movies, including Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju and Sanjay Dutt’s Munnabhai MBBS. She will soon be seen in a lead role in Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog, which also marks her debut in Tollywood.
