On the professional front, Nikhil joined his upcoming film 18 Pages’ shoot towards the end of 2020.

If the latest buzz is anything to go by, the stage is all set for a massive announcement from team RRR tomorrow (Jan 25). Already, speculations are rife that the makers of this most eagerly awaited magnum opus will announce the film’s release date on January 26, on the occasion of Republic Day.

With numero uno director Rajamouli at the helm, star heroes NTR and Ram Charan sharing screen space for the first time and Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt playing lead roles, the hype and expectations on RRR are sky-high. If things go as planned, RRR may hit screens on October 8, as a Dasara festive treat.

British actress Olivia Morris, Kollywood actor Samuthirakani, popular heroine Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson and Irish actress Alison Doody and other play crucial roles in the movie. This pan-India multilingual period action drama is being produced by DVV Danayya with a whopping Rs 400 plus crore budget.

It is well-known that both Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa are being bankrolled under Mythri Movie Makers. While Pushpa’s shooting is progressing at a fast pace, Sarkaru Vaari Paata will kick-start its shooting in Dubai in a couple of days.

Meanwhile, the latest buzz is that both the films have been getting tremendous business offers from all areas in the twin Telugu states. News among film circles is that the production house has been offered a whopping amount from one of the Nizam distributors to bags the rights of both the films. However, it’s too early to discuss the business aspects, as both Pushpa and Sarkaru Vaari Paata will have a theatrical release only in 2022.

While Pushpa is being directed by Sukumar, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is going to be helmed by Geetha Govindam fame Parasuram.
