Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the movie will be released on November 4th in theatres. It is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under the Aamuktha Creations and Niharika Entertainment banners. Ahead of the release, we met the director for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.
Don’t you think only a few audiences will relate to the travel vlog and youtube life kind of story?
Like, Share & Subscribe’s story will be hilarious. Both hero and heroine are travel vloggers, and the fight between them will be exciting to watch. Also, the kind of risks they encounter while shooting travel videos will make the film an interesting watch. The situational comedy that comes out of an undercurrent problem will be incredible
You are known for your screenplay. How will it be in this movie?
Like, Share and Subscribe has a different screenplay. For every fifteen minutes, there will be a changeover and twist in Like, Share and Subscribe. The situational comedy will attract the audiences big time.
How did Santosh Shoban and Faria perform in the lead roles?
I did Ek Mini Katha with Santosh and liked his acting in that film. I need a youngster to play the youtube role and hence narrated the plot to Santosh. He liked it. Faria acted just the way she behaves outside. The lead pair perfectly suited the roles.
Audiences are selective regarding small films. Don’t you have that tension?
I am indeed having that tension, and hence I am promoting the film in a distinct manner. Our target is to pull the audience to the morning shows. If the talk is good, they will surely come to the cinema halls.
What about your future films?
The script works are going on. I am in the mood to do a big film. I have movies with Jawan’s producer Krishna Garu, UV Creations, People Media Factory, and also with the Niharika Entertainment banner.
