A Kannada film called Premada Oorali has been doing wonders at the box office. The rural drama started with little attention but slowly became a sensation. It has now surpassed the lifetime Karnataka share of Yash’s KGF: Chapter 1.
Made on a budget of around Rs. 3 crore, the film has grossed more than Rs. 135 crore and has now become the fourth-highest-grossing film in Karnataka. It has been more than 30 days since it hit cinemas, and ticket sales are still promising.
The makers are set to make huge profits, along with others involved in the film’s business. Manoj Kumar directed the movie, with Rangayana Raghu, Shree Raam, Thapaswini Poonacha and Ramika Shivu playing key roles.
The film’s Telugu version was released as Premane Oorilo, but it went unnoticed by audiences due to the lack of a star cast and promotions. How many more records it will make in the coming days remains to be seen.
