Naga-Chaithna

Naga Chaitanya is slowly but steadily becoming a star to reckon with in the industry. One the eve of the release of his latest film Oka Laila Kosam, we caught up with him for a detailed interview. Let’s see what he has to say ?

How has the film shaped up ?

The film has shaped up quite well and I am very confident that we have a winner in our hands.

Does the title ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ justify your film ?

The story is about how far can a man go to win the heart of his lover. The title is apt, and suits the story of our film completely.

What is the difference between your earlier romantic entertainers and this film ?

This is a more matured and fresh love story than my earlier films.

You have remixed ANR’s song in the film. Whose idea was it ?

It was our director Vijay’s idea to remix the song. The situation demanded a song like that, and Anup Rubens has done an wonderful job with the song.

Why was the film delayed so much ?

Film making is a collective process. Many departments work towards one goal, and because of delays in more than one department, this film was delayed.

You have handled the production formalities for this flick. Did you feel any difficulties ?

Production was always on my mind. I took care of the entire production formalities for this film, and took it as a learning experience for my future.

Do you take your dad’s help while selecting a film ?

I listen to all the stories myself. Once I like the script, then I take it to my dad for his opinion. My dad always feels that I should be independent in selecting all my films.

Why did you re-shoot some of the portions for this film ?

After my dad saw the film, he suggested a few changes and that is the reason we re-shooted the film.

What kind of suggestions are you giving to your brother Akhil for his entry ?

As of now, he is currently listening to the scripts and will definitely start his film this year. If he needs any help, I am always there.

What are your future projects ?

Currently, I am doing an action thriller with Sudhir Varma, and listening to a few new stories.
