Victory Venkatesh will be next seen in the film Saindhav. The movie, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, has an ensemble cast including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Jeremiah, Arya, Ruhani Sharma, Jayaparakash, Mukesh Rishi, and others. Saindhav is slated for release on 13th January. Versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is making his Tollywood debut with Saindhav, interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

You earned fame all over India with your versatile acting. Why did it take so long to enter Tollywood?

Every actor looks for good stories. In the same way, I was also waiting for a good script, and it happened with Saindhav. It is an interesting story and a dream for every actor to act alongside Venkatesh Garu. I am very happy to act in a film with him.

You dubbed for your role in Saindhav. What is the inspiration behind it? What challenges did you face while learning the language?

That is because of Sailesh Kolanu. I don’t like when someone else dubs for me. There won’t be depth in the character if I don’t dub. I play a Hyderabadi in Saindhav who speaks both Hindi and Telugu. So it will be best if I dub for my role. I understood the language and meaning of my dialogues. Initially, it will be tough to learn a new language. When we get to know more and more about that language, it becomes easy. I don’t believe in prompting. Even if it is difficult, I like to dub for myself.

What did you learn from Venkatesh Garu?

There is a lot that can be learned from every actor. Venkatesh Garu always stays calm. He learns his lines before coming to the shoot. He takes many risks in action scenes. He performed them all by himself without using any body doubles. He played an intense role in Saindhav. I learned many things from him. Most importantly, he has got a lot of patience.

Tell us about the director.

Sailesh is a professional director. He has immense clarity about how much that needs to be shot. He also thinks about editing while shooting something. He improvised by character. The moment I heard the script, I was sure that the movie would succeed. Though it has been just five years since Sailesh entered the industry, he has exhibited a lot of conviction.

What will be your character’s length in the film?

I shot for about 40 days and am very satisfied with my role. It is a solid character, and I am pretty confident that the audience will enjoy it.
