Hero Nikhil has been aggressively promoting his latest film Kirrak Party on a huge level all over. On this occasion, we caught up with him for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
How tense are you about the film’s release?
Kirrak Party is my fifteenth film and I get very tense before every release of mine. I get very nervous and look forward to how my film will be received by the audience.
About your role?
After Happy Days, I am playing a college student in this film. How a normal engineering college student becomes a respected student leader is the whole story of the film about. This film is quite special in every which way and my character is the best that I have done to date. I feel that the film will bring me even closer to the audience.
What attracted you towards this film?
The basic emotion in the student life and how one goes through the problems of unemployment and wins his ways attracted me big time. All these things have been narrated in a very interesting manner.
Did you make any changes to the original film?
We did not touch the soul of the film. The Kannada version is three hours long and in Telugu, we made it two hours 25 minutes. All the unnecessary scenes and items songs, we edited them out.
Heard that you had creative differences with your producer Anil Sunkara?
All these reports are just baseless. We never had such problems as Anil garu came to the sets only twice during the entire shoot.
A word about Chandoo Mondeti and Sudheer Varma who worked on the film?
Both Chandoo and Sudheer are close friends of mine and helped us out a lot during the making of this film. Their support did a lot of good to the film.
