Pooja Hedge made an impressive debut with Oka Laila Kosam. Her second outing is Varun Tej’s Mukunda. On the eve of the film’s release, we caught up with Pooja for a brief interview. Let’s see what she has to say.
Q) What kind of feedback did you get for Oka Laila Kosam ?
A) I got a lot of positive feedback for my performance, and received decent offers after the film released.
Q) Tell us about your character in this film ?
A) I play a typical middle class girl with complete Indian values. Rao Ramesh plays my father, and the entire film is weaved around my character.
Q) How was it working with Varun Tej ?
A) I had a wonderful time working with Varun. He has expressive eyes, and did a superb job in this film. As we are of the same age we had a lot of fun on the sets. I feel that Varun will surely impress the audience and become a huge star in the coming future.
Q) Tell us about your director Srikanth Addala ?
A) He is one of the most talented directors and gives complete freedom to his actors. He has a great sense of music and always showcases his heroines quite beautifully. Even in this film, he has presented me in a stunning manner.
Q) When will your Bollywood project with Hrithik Roshan kick off ?
A) Shooting of this film will start in January, and I am very eager to work with a star like Hrithik Roshan. It will be a dream launch for me and I am quite excited about it.
Q) How did you bag that project ?
A) Director Ashutosh Gowariker’s wife, Sunita saw my TVS Ad with Ranbir Kapoor and suggested my name for the film.
Q) You have done homely roles till date. Will you do an out and out glamorized role ?
A) Why not. I would love to play a modern girl, and am very confident that I would carry it with a lot of ease.
Q) What are your upcoming projects ?
A) I have given bulk dates for my Bollywood debut, and will only think about future projects once I complete the film.
